Remedial Massage (Health Funds Rebate available)
Remedial Massage is designed for people
who have chronic and acute pain.
It helps with post-surgery and injury recovery,
muscle tightness and stiff joints. Palpation is
used by Qualified Remedial therapists to
assess specifically which muscle or muscle group are the cause of pain and discomfort.
Targeting and treating the specific
muscles by using myo-fascia release,
trigger point, deep and
soft tissue manipulation techniques to
restore the muscle
tone and increase joint range of motion.
Shiatsu is an art of traditional Japanese therapy.
It increases chi-energy flow and harmonizes your
organ’s balance by stimulating Acu-points and
meridian lines. It also calms your mind, helps
relieve stress and alleviates tight muscles and
stiff joints. Tradicine says
“When Chi moves, it moves blood.” So Chi flow comes first and then the blood starts moving.
Sports Massage/ deep Tissue
Sports massage is designed for sports people
who train on a regular basis (including weekend warriors to professional athletes).
When people train hard and their muscles become tight they lose muscular-skeletal balance.
This is the time when people are most likely to
injure themselves. Because a muscle which is
too tight pull like a rubber band, they can pull other structures such as tendons, ligaments and bones. Sports massage helps to maintain muscular-skeletal balance, accelerates recovery
from onset muscle soreness,
restores muscle tone and prevents injury.
Cupping works to suction the stagnant Chi (energy flow)
and dampness. It enhances blood flow and helps
eliminate toxins and waste products
out of your body. It also helps to loosen taut muscle
bands and fascia muscle (sheets of muscle).
This therapy is great for people
who have toxic conditions, fluid retention and chronic muscle stiffness.
Dry needling is the use of acupuncture needles into the myo-fascia trigger points (taut muscle band or muscle nodule). Inserting the needle directly into the muscle nodule relieves chronic or acute muscle tightness quicker than massage.
This is a great treatment for people who have chronic muscle stiffness and joint problem.
Lymph drainage massage is designed to relieve excess fluid retention, toxins and swollenness, assisting the body to get rid of unwanted matter. Gentle circular strokes and stimulating lymph nodes increases lymph function 20 times more than the normal rate.
It also increases metabolism rates, helps to reduce
cellulite and assists in weight loss. It is great for post
cancer treatment and
people struggling to relieve fluid retention, puffiness, swollen joints and cellulite.
Reflexology helps sore/aching feet, swollen feet/ankles
and poor circulation. The human foot has 7200 nerve
endings that interconnect with every part of the body.
Reflexology improves nerve and blood supply, lymph
flow and helps the body’s natural systems to balance
It also increases the metabolism rate, relieving waste products, detoxifying the body.
